Explore Innovation for
Addressing Chronic and Traumatic Stress

There is an urgent need for improving mental health among Veterans, Active Military and First Responders in the face of the mounting suicide and opiate epidemics.

Join us in committing to explore and scale up solutions for reducing the stigma of addressing mental health, high levels of stress and trauma and escalating drug epidemics.

I have done my best to battle my demons through physical activity and counseling, however, nothing has come close to the healing that occurred during the PWHT Power Breath Workshop. I honestly feel like I have been given a second chance at life and the weight I carried on my heart, mind and soul has been lifted.

I cannot even put into words how simple breathing techniques changed my life.

U.S. Army Veteran

I have spoken to soldiers who have participated in Project Welcome Home Troops and they are realizing the benefits that prescription drugs couldn't provide. We need to get more Veterans into this program if we are to reduce the alarming suicide epidemic.

Congressman

The 2-day Mental Health & Mental Fitness Summit will bring together the pre-eminent thinkers and leaders in the field from the 4 areas of society best-positioned to change the course of the mental health epidemic spreading across the globe today: healthcare, policy, business, and education with a focus on active participation and purpose-driven collaboration across silos.

Among the speakers, Dr. Tracy Gaudet from the VA's Office of Patient Centered Care will be one of the speakers as will Congressman Tim Ryan who is a great Veteran advocate, author of Healing America and is the Co-Chair of the Military Mental Health Caucus; and finally, Barbara Van Dahlen, President of Give an Hour and head of the White House Task Force on Veteran Suicide.
